The enhanced Model 3 from Tesla introduces fresh design elements, a rear touchscreen, and improved range.

Tesla has unveiled an enhanced iteration of the Model 3 in Europe, previously referred to as the Highland model. This upgraded version showcases a fresh exterior design, introducing alterations to both the front and rear sections, along with notable interior enhancements. Furthermore, Tesla has made strides in aerodynamics and range improvements.

The most conspicuous alterations are evident in the Model 3’s front design. The former frontal bump has been replaced with a sleeker, centrally vented configuration. The headlights now sport a slimmer profile, reminiscent of Audi, featuring LED daytime running lights.

While the car’s side profile remains largely unchanged, Tesla has introduced new alloy wheel options, offering 18- and 19-inch variants. At the rear, the taillights have been reconfigured to eliminate the split design seen in the previous model. The rear bumper has been redesigned to incorporate integrated fog lights. Additionally, two new paint options are available: a red hue reminiscent of the Model S and a “stealth grey” choice.

These exterior design modifications collectively contribute to improved aerodynamics, as stated by Tesla. These enhancements translate into reported range increases of over 10 percent, resulting in a range of 344 miles WLTP for the rear-wheel-drive version and 421 miles WLTP for the long-range model.

Tesla has also aimed to enhance ride quality through refined suspension tuning and a more rigid body structure. Efforts have been made to minimize interior noise, with acoustic glass extending to the rear and back windows.

Significant changes extend to the interior as well. Notable updates encompass a fresh dashboard design featuring LED lighting, a customizable panel, and a revised steering wheel design where the indicators have been transformed into a button instead of a traditional stalk.

The infotainment system has received an upgrade, boasting a brighter and more responsive screen. It now offers the ability to control the passenger air system and showcases enhanced Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Tesla has also enhanced the stereo system, elevating it to 17 speakers compared to the previous model’s 14.

For passengers occupying the rear seats, especially children, friends, or family members, there’s a new addition in the form of their own 8-inch screen. This screen provides access to adjustable climate controls, music options, and even entertainment apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney Plus, ensuring a more enjoyable rear-seat experience.

Initial deliveries are slated to commence in October in select European countries and the Middle East. However, it’s worth noting that Tesla has yet to announce availability in North America or the UK for this upgraded Model 3. Pricing starts at €42,990 for the rear-wheel drive model and €50,990 for the long-range version.
